If you got to this blog post from my Instagram (@alwaysamandafrances), then you already know my style is simplistic. And if you found this blog from somewhere else besides my Instagram, then here’s a shameless plug and you should follow!
When I say my style is simplistic, I mean that I mainly wear neutrals and occasionally add a pop of color and patterns. I love the idea of wearing dresses and skirts, but if I am being completely honest, I feel the most comfortable when I am wearing a pair of jeans. Why? Because jeans are so versatile. You can wear them in the winter with booties and a sweater or the same pair in the summer with platform sandals and a blouse. You can wear them to the supermarket, or to the doctor, or out to dinner, or spending time with friends, or… well I think you get the point.
As my favorite author Dr. Seuss once said, “one jean, two jean, black jean, blue jean”. He’s not necessarily my favorite author and he didn’t necessarily say that, but you get it… Generally, when styling an outfit, I start with my jeans and work on the outfit from there because I know I will be comfortable and feel confident.
As you can tell, I have an unexplainable love for jeans, and because of this and the fact that I am 5’10 with loooooong legs, I think it is important to buy higher quality jeans that come in tall sizes. To me, jeans are not something I’m going to wear just one time. It’s not something that just has one use. These jeans are being bought for the long haul. Maybe that’s why my mom keeps telling me to get rid of some because my closet is quite literally overflowing… Anyway, I feel better spending more money on a high-quality pair of jeans because I know they will be worn often!
So to end this blog post, one that started with an idea to talk about my simplistic style and ended in why I LOVE jeans, I encourage you to take a peek at my Instagram account to see how I have styled them in the past, but also to look and continue to read my blog posts that I am so glad I get to share with all of you. Okay… ready set go, let’s all splurge on a new pair of jeans this holiday weekend!
